Want It! Need It! Gotta Have It!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and delightful Easter for those that celebrate.  I had a delightfully lazy 3 day weekend consisting mostly of napping, eating, and watching movies.  I stuffed myself silly at my cousin's house yesterday, but it will be worth gaining a pound (or two) this week.  Mmmm, brownies :)

I've been cheating on fashion lately with home goods.  So much so that Saks called to make sure I was still alive!  Silly Saks, I'll be back soon!  However, my new fashion accessory obsession is a slamming laptop sleeve to go with my new baby.  My father gave me his Timbuk2 sleeve  which is definitely functional, but by no means fashionable.  In my search I've come across a few cute ones:

Damask

Monogrammed

But I then I found the end all be all of laptop cases…LOUIS VUITTON

For a mere $780 (ouch!) this little beauty can be mine.  I better start saving now because I will NOT be satisfied with anything else.

An Apple A Day

To say that my dad is my #1 guy is a complete understatement.  I am a total daddy's girl and proud of it.  Since I've moved into my new place my dad has been so unbelievably generous.  First at Home Goods, then at Target.  He even was kind enough to pay for the repairs to my car when it freaked out the day before I moved.  The man is a saint...sometimes :)

In addition to everything he has already gifted he has also gifted me a MacBook!  I'm dying right now as I type on it.  I have been living with an ancient iMac since my brother gave it up for a MacBook Pro when he went to college...in 1999!!!  Not to say that I was suffering, but I was SUFFERING!!!  But no more, I'm finally catching up with the 21st century.

Weekend Round-Up

Friday night the girls and I made the trek out to Sussex County for a big night out.  For those of you who aren't familiar with this area of New Jersey it's very rural (i.e. bear hunting, camo wearing) and not really my kind of place.  However, this particular bar we went to is always entertaining and I'll go anywhere for a girls night out.

What I didn't know was that on this particular night, at this particular bar my dear friend CV was going to ask me to be in her wedding party.  Not gonna lie, I shed a tear.  I've only known CV for a couple of years but in that time we've become really close and I can't imagine life without her now.  I'm so honored that she has included me in this group...which just happens to be made up of Miss Liss, Midget Meg, and Hot Pants Pallay.  For those of you not familiar with her...this is HPP (on Minute to Win It night):

Saturday night a wicked thunderstorm blew threw NJ so I made the executive decision to stay in and enjoy my couch.  Somehow movie night turned into bathroom cleaning night, yuk.  BUT this left my entire Sunday open to enjoy the beautiful weather.

After a walk around town and a trip to the grocery store I started looking online for accent chairs.  There are so many options out there, but soooo expensive.  I searched on Ikea.com, Worldmarket.com, and Overstock.com.  Never in a million years did I think I would hit the jackpot on Target.com.  So many cute chairs in amazing fabrics, but this is the one that I fell in love with:

I only bought one which might seem odd since I need 2.  I want to make sure that it's the right size and works with the room before I commit to 2 chairs.  I can't wait for it to get here!

Weekly Weigh In

It's been a while since I've done a post on my Weight Watchers progress. Thursday was my weigh in day, and I'm down 2.6 lbs!!! This seems to be magic number because it's the 5th week (not consecutively) that I've lost 2.6 lbs. It's getting to be a little weird, but as long as I'm losing and not gaining I'm not gonna complain.

At this rate I might actually be ready for bathing suit season!

I'm Baaack

So things have finally started to settle down a bit and I can finally post some pics of what I've been up to.

First, Miss Liss and I had a great time at Opening Day of Yankee Stadium on March 31st.  It was dreary, rainy, and cold, but I couldn't have been happier to be there.  To top it off the Yanks came through with a win to kick the season off.

2 days later I made the big move into my new place.  To say I'm in love would be an understatement.  Here are a few pics to give you an idea, but PLEASE don't judge the mess or the lack of decor.  I'm still in a bit of a state of chaos:

The TV half of my living room
.

I'm still not sure what to do with this other half.  Right now it's my general junk and computer area.  The hutch belonged to my great-grandmother and I can't bear to part with it, but it just doesn't fit in.

I love my oversized mirror from Home Goods.  I'm waiting for Jimbo to get back from Paris to hang it up.  I don't trust myself with the stud finder and drill to tackle this job.

My teeny kitchen, perfect for the non-cook.  I'm in love with my Hello Kitty toaster from Miss Liss!

I am a big believer in all white bathrooms.  I think I got this from my mom.

The closets were a huge selling point on this place for me.  There are three huge closets in the whole apartement, and each has additional storage space above the visible space.

Ugh, I hate how boring this room looks.  I'm just not sure what the decor is going to be yet.

I'd love to hear your decorating input.  As you can tell I'm a bit lost right now.

xoxo
